Description
Positive Psychology & Happiness Science is a written, self-paced course in six modules. You learn the PERMA model of wellbeing (positive emotion, engagement, relationships, meaning and accomplishment), try gratitude practices, explore flow and how to create conditions for it, identify your character strengths, look at research on kindness and connection, and build a personal flourishing practice.
It is an educational introduction to a field of research, not therapy or a qualification. Findings in this field vary in strength, and the course presents them cautiously; it cannot promise you will feel happier. No psychology background is required. If you are a coach, therapist or educator, it can give you an overview, but it does not qualify you to practise or teach positive psychology.
What you will be able to do
- Explain each element of the PERMA model in plain language
- Use two gratitude practices and notice their effect on you
- Identify activities that bring you into flow
- Name your top character strengths and use them in new ways
- Write a personal flourishing practice covering all five PERMA elements
This is educational content only and is not medical or clinical advice, diagnosis or treatment. Educational content only. No income, revenue or earnings results are promised or implied. This course does not award a certification, licence or professional credential.
